Welcome

Alternating Crimes has been a voice for original thinkers from North Carolina and nationally since the mid 1980’s where it began as a literary arts magazine that featured comics. Since those Reagan era horror infested days, it’s been a comic book that drove Hell Car and now it’s moved online exposing new alternating currents.

Announcing the Release of HellCar 2 on Comixology

What makes this issue so special? Read the accompanying article at …. to get the whole dramatic story.

The blurb that describes the issue always sang true:

“BIGGER, CHEAPER, BETTER! On the cover and inside, Daniel Gallant interprets Hubie the Dead Cow. Paul Friedrich does a complete 17 page feature “Onion Head Monster Has Escaped” and Gallant concludes with Danny & Chrissy burning up the inside. Also includes Aleksandar Zograf, Smell of Steve, Inc. and Dale Flattum.”

It’s a really fun issue we created that I’ve always felt it was the crowning issue of the series. For me at least, this was the best work I had done to date. Paul and I dominated the issue, though if you count that Hubie the Dead Cow story and cover was an adaption of Paul’s characters drawn by me, then you’d really have to say Paul Friedrich dominated the issue. Something I am happy to concede since I also felt he was at a real creative ascension as well.

Dig in. And as an exciting additional feature promoting the issue you can now read Paul’s entire Onion Head Monster Has Escaped story online in full blazing color.

We are excited to be available on Comixology, an Amazon Company, right here http://bit.ly/2WxvjUH
